I've had a fixation on this song since I was a teenager and my first serious guitar teacher had a glam metal band who used to cover it at their shows. Like all Elton/Bernie compositions from the 70s it's a great song, but a little bit of a harder rocker than most.

I recruited friends from all over to contribute. David sings in the 4 Inch Studs and hails from Petaluma, CA. Jerry plays drums for Denver Meatpacking Company and lives in Denver, CO. Cary also lives in Denver and has been musical director for many great musical theater productions all over the country, including a production of The Rocky Horror show where he hired me to play guitar in the pit band. Ben lives in Pleasanton, CA and plays keyboards in Kaleo _ Akoni.
